Sankofa, which is pronounced "san-ko-fa," is a Ghanaian expression that implies "it's okay to go back for what you forgot." Combining the terms san (return), ko (go), and fa creates the word (seek and take). "Sankofa" reminds us that in order to advance, we must return to our origins.
